Morgan aims to make significant mark in 2013

Despite the lack of corporate support, Jamaica's most decorated senior discus thrower Jason Morgan, is still motivated to achieve great results for himself and his country. Morgan currently has the second best throw for the year 2013 and will attempt to regain the number one spot, a position he held for two weeks, when he competes at the Jamaica International Invitational on Saturday May 4th.

Morgan is not a stranger to international competitions as he has competed at the highest level (World Championships and Olympics) on multiple occasions and hopes to give his fans and supporters a treat."My main aim is to keep throwing well, execute and perform well for my home crowd," Morgan said.

The seven time National Champion, promises that good things and farther throws are in store as the season progresses. The former Calabar student is not only aiming to achieve the A standard qualifier, which is only a few centimeters away, but working towards creating history by becoming the first Jamaican to medal at the senior level in discus.

Morgan is the first Jamaican to compete at the World Championship and Olympics in the discus event and with his background and accomplishments he is definitely on track to medal at the highest level.
